In two days, you will gain a solid foundation in the standard’s concepts, requirements and structure. The course concludes with the PECB exam and leads to an internationally recognised certificate. Course description

ISO/IEC 27001 is the leading international standard for information security management systems (ISMS). In this course, you will learn the fundamentals of implementing and maintaining an ISMS in accordance with ISO/IEC 27001:2022 – from policies and procedures to performance measurement, management commitment, internal audits, management reviews and continual improvement.

Combitech delivers the course as an authorised PECB partner. The course is based on PECB’s official training materials, and the trainer provides examples drawn from Combitech’s experience in information security, risk management and regulatory compliance for clients in both the private and public sectors.

Course content

Fundamental information security concepts, principles and definitions
Information security management systems (ISMS) in accordance with ISO/IEC 27001:2022
The standard’s requirements – from leadership and policy to monitoring and improvement
Methods and techniques for implementing and maintaining an ISMS
Exam (1 hour)

Learning objectives

After completing the course, you will be able to describe key information security concepts, principles and definitions, explain the main requirements of ISO/IEC 27001:2022, and identify methods and techniques for implementing and maintaining an ISMS.

Target audience

Managers, consultants and others who work in or are responsible for information security, as well as anyone looking to start a career in the field.

Prerequisites

No prior knowledge is required.

Certificate

After passing the exam, you can apply for the “PECB Certificate Holder in ISO/IEC 27001:2022 Foundation” certificate, which demonstrates your understanding of the standard’s methodology, requirements, framework and management approach.

You will receive a course completion certificate worth 14 CPD credits, and if you do not pass the exam, you can retake it free of charge within 12 months.

Course information

This is a two-day course, including the exam. It includes over 200 pages of course materials, as well as the exam and certificate fees.

The course is delivered online. Course materials and the exam are in English. Instruction is in Swedish or English.

If you would like to continue your learning after the course, you can progress to PECB Certified ISO/IEC 27001 Lead Implementer.

Cancellation policy

Your booking is confirmed once we have received your billing details. The training invoice is sent 30 days before the course starts. For cancellations made less than 30 days before the course starts, 50% of the course fee will be credited. For cancellations made less than 2 weeks before the course starts, no credit will be issued.
