It is one thing understanding and developing systems, it is another thing getting them to understand each other. For us at Combitech systems integration is about much more than just the technology. It is about creating new opportunities – for example by integrating the operations processes with technical systems, or support and its systems with organisations and their operations systems.
Our consultants work with system integration at all levels and all phases of the project. From operations analysis and information modelling to testing, verification and validation. Often with responsibility for project management. For example, this could be about integration of command and control systems with communication, sensors and information systems.
The assignment often covers systems that are important for society to function without interference and accidents. Therefore, it is important to think how the systems are used in practice, to create usability that contributes to the security rather than the opposite.
The systems that we work with are used within, for example, air traffic control, weather information and combat command on land, sea and air. It often concerns long term, complex assignments within areas where our customers set very high demands of operational security, information security and systems security. Areas where the system integration is the basis for something even bigger.
