Combitech improves procedures
The simulator division at Saab Aerosystems needed to adapt its operation to a new growing market at the same time as maintaining its high-quality support for “in-house” users and ongoing production.
At the simulator division it is very important that all processes are run through effectively to help deliver reliable production and safe, robust products. Combitech’s services for the simulator division resulted in improved procedures and processes. The assignment began with an investigation and analysis of the operation, before later including the design and modelling of new processes. The final stage of the project was to implement solutions, and this involved a great deal of change work.
The simulator division is now better positioned to coordinate and utilise its simulators in developing and producing the Gripen. At the same time, Saab Aerosystems has acquired a new and efficient process for supporting new and existing end customers after simulators have been delivered.
